October program: "A Cottage Garden" with Pat Moore

A Cottage Garden
"A Cottage Garden"
by Patricia Moore

Flowers are blooming everywhere--

Even if you don't have a green thumb, you can create this charming, colorful garden of your very own!

Pat Moore will join us on October 12, 2002 to present "A Cottage Garden" - An introduction to canvas painting. Please join us for this wonderful opportunity to learn from Pat about using paints and other art materials in our stitching. Everyone from the beginning to advanced stitcher is welcome to join in the fun.

We will start the class with a short demonstration on "how to" paint and heat set the ground fabric. You will then select a pattern and paint your ground fabric. While waiting for the fabric to dry, you will select the threads, patterns, stitches and colors you wish to include in your garden. Pat will have many examples to help with your decision. Let your creativity flow as we continue to spend the rest of the class planning and stitching our garden designs.

Pat was recently featured in the January/February 2002 issue of Needlepoint Now magazine.

Class Cost: $30.00

Kit Cost: $18.00

Kit Includes: A 7" x 7" square of congress cloth (ground fabric), assorted threads and a gold charm, complete directions, charts, garden patterns, color photo, and finishing instructions.
