"Elegant Holiday Tree" designed by Mary Waldsmith

This ornament is a Petit Project in canvas work from the EGA Education Department, with a skill level of beginner, so it can be stitched up quickly.

It is worked on 18-count canvas, eggshell color with gold, in Neon Rays, Caron Impressions, Caron Watercolours, and Kreinik braid, all in tones of pale beige, cream and natural.  Stitches include basketweave, Milanese, Cashmere, and Scotch (or Hesitation), with the braid mixed in with the other threads for added sparkle.  Stitching hints and several suggestions for finishing are included.  We hope to begin some of the finishing after lunch.

This meeting will take place at Duncaster Senior Residence in Bloomfield, CT.

Location:  Duncaster
Schedule for Saturday:
10 AM to 12:15 pm           Program
12:15 to 1 PM                    Lunch and brief meeting
1 PM to 3:30 PM               Program

Although the picture following looks very silvery, the actual piece is an elegant rendering in off-whites.
