  Saturday, April 6th, 2024       Annual Meeting and
          Group Correspondence Course –
          "Jacobean Fantasy" by Kay Stanis

We will have our Annual Meeting with the election of officers for 2024-2026 as well as starting our new Group Correspondence Course.  We plan to have a "Project Swap" as well.  Please bring any no-longer loved projects and we can swap with each other.  Any projects not selected will be used for the fundraising efforts for our chapter.  This meeting will be held at Thistle Needleworks, Wethersfield as well as via Zoom.

Schedule for the day to include:
        10 am to 12:00 pm Annual Meeting, Show & Tell, Project Swap, Jacobean Fantasy
12:00 pm to 1 pm Lunch
1 pm to 3:00 pm Jacobean Fantasy program continues

Techniques include working Battlement couching, Burden stitch, chipping and "S"ing.  Soft twist silks in solid and overdyes will be combined with braids, crimped purl, check purl, and pearl purl.  For dimensional effects we will work the detached elements separately on sheer fabric in the creation of this exquisite embroidery.  Students will be encouraged to use their own ideas in color and stitch interpretations.
