There will be a 1-hour question-and-answer session with Toni Gerdes at 10:30 am.

This meeting will be in person at Thistle Needleworks in Wethersfield, CT and on Zoom.

Annual Meeting, Show & Tell, Stitches Get Stitched
program continues |
Rachael is a young, up-and-coming stitcher with an artistic approach to surface embroidery.
The day will begin with a presentation by Rachael showing a number of her recent embroideries and
explaining the process of their creation. She will review how she chooses the fabric and how
it inspires the design. She will review how she chooses the threads and how they will enhance
the design. She will review the stitches and how they make the design come to life.
After this presentation, Rachael will guide each of us through the process of creating our own decorative piece.
Attendees/participants should bring a piece of patterned fabric about 10" square, a 5-8" wooden hoop, sharp needles,
and a variety of threads (cottons, silks, wools, metallics, or blends) and/or embellishments.
Rachael will also bring some fabrics and beads from which you may choose, if you prefer.
We will take a break for lunch around noon -- bring your own or join us for take-out. After lunch, we will have
a brief meeting and election of officers and Show & Tell before continuing our stitching with Rachael.
Although there is no fee for this day of creativity, please use the registration coupon at the end of this newsletter
to let us know that you will be attending in person so we can arrange space for everyone.

In the business meeting, we will elect officers for the 2026-2028 term.
